After waiting eight long years to plan her own wedding, Lauren gave up and decided that she would start planning other peoples'. Of course as soon as this decision was made, Lauren's lovely boy popped the question. In hindsight this was a good thing because Lauren soon realised that it's quite easy to go fairly loopy when planning your own wedding. She can now relate to other brides-to-be as they cry over a table plan.
Lauren started her career working for Cosmopolitan Bride. Here she was able to work with tons of wonderful suppliers, think up magical, unique ideas for the magazine and attend a whole lot of real life weddings. While at Cosmo, Lauren was also responsible for organising all events for the publishing house. These involved lots of PR days, press awards and launch parties.
From Cosmo, Lauren took a job in Formula One. Very different, but lots of fun. Here Lauren travelled the world arranging glamorous parties and media events at Grand Prix's all over the place. There was lots and lots of bubbly involved at these parties and she got to meet heaps of lovely people. From celebrations on boats to gala dinners on roofs, Lauren gained a lot of varied experience.
When Lauren's top clients started asking her to plan their weddings 'on the side' - a lightbulb moment occurred. What better way to combine all of her experience and get to work with people who appreciate her attention to detail. From here Florence Blue was born.
Lauren loves nothing better than making your special days memorable and personal. Whatever your budget, whatever you want, Lauren and the team are here to help.
